Mahogany Writing Chest

A substantial solid Mahogany writing chest, brass bound, with brass carrying handles, and a hidden bottom drawer with brass locking pin. Dating from around 1800 (George III). Slopes covered in chestnut brown textured leather and cheetah print paper. The hidden drawer and interior are lined with scarlet and faded jade suede lokta papers, while the inside of the lid is unlined exposing the grain of the wood. Working lock with key.
