Oak Writing Slope

Oak veneer writing slope with brass corners and brass shield inset on lid and at keyhole. Dating from mid nineteenth century. Midnight blue leather on slopes, the lower slope is hinged, the upper slope lifts out with leather finger tabs. Interior lined with hot plaid batik patterned lokta. No key. A chunky box with plenty of storage space beneath the slopes.JB0097
